About Brent Manor Vineyards

The Brent Manor Vineyards Wine Cellar Over the last few years our plans for our future in the wine industry have undergone some changes. It all began with a dream from two wine lovers. The idea originally was to open a Bed & Breakfast as well as a small winery. Eventually the B&B fell by the wayside and Brent Manor Vineyards was born. Brent Manor Vineyards is a unique boutique winery in Nelson County just south of Charlottesville.

We've spent a lot of time visiting wineries all over Virginia, California and Oregon and we have experienced things that we loved and things that we hated on those trips. Our dream is to bring together our favorite parts of the winery visit experience to you.

Having been born in Portugal, I also have an appreciation for the wines of the Old World. It is with that appreciation in mind that our concept of Where the New World meets the Old World originated. We strive to bring you a mixture of the New World and the Old World, not just in the wines that we offer in our tasting room, but also in the overall feel of the winery.

Brent Manor Vineyards truly is a dream come true for us. We have poured all of our love into making this boutique winery a place that you'll want to visit time and time again in the middle of Virginia's Wine Country.

We'd love to help you enjoy a perfect weekend away, so please visit us soon!

About The Area

Welcome to Charlottesville, Virginia Charlottesville is an independent city located within the confines of Albemarle County in the Commonwealth of Virginia and named after Princess Sophia Charlotte of Mecklenburg-Strelitz, the wife of King George III of England.

In 2004, Charlottesville was ranked the best place to live in the United States in the book Cities Ranked and Rated by Bert Sperling and Peter Sander. Sperling and Sander ranked the cities based on cost of living, climate, and quality of life.

Charlottesville is best known as the home of the University of Virginia, founded by Thomas Jefferson. The city is also known for Jefferson's Monticello, his renowed mountain-top home which attracts tens of thousands of tourists every year.

Nelson County, just a few miles South of bustling Charlottesville, embraces the power of community. There are over 30 wineries, breweries, cideries and distilleries within a 20-mile radius, farmer's markets galore and a wonderful, welcoming feel that makes visitors want to stay. It's what attracted us to this fantastic community and we suspect you'll love it, as well.

Charlottesville and Nelson County are served by Charlottesville-Albemarle Airport, Greyhound, and by Amtrak.
